Lots of clear detail - and I like the dof used - easily enough.

Beautiful details in the white petals (always difficult to achieve) and gorgeous colours with excellent dof. Lovely composition Don and rest assured unless my wife is handy I never know one flower from another. Best wishes to you my friend...Ray

They're right it's an anemone I planted one this year. This is really well done it gives me an idea of how I'll shoot mine next year.

This is a beauty, Don! I love the softness of the image, and the focus and dof are both spot on! Well done! Would you mind sharing how you put the shadow on the inside of the black canvas? I've never seen that before, and I really like it. Thanks! Kathy

Don - don't know what this is either - but you have done an outstanding job of capturing it. Great composition, DOF, and details are super. Can even see what is probably road dust on the petals. Very, very nice. PS - The frame is really super too, but I might have gone with a thinner - but same style frame - one with just a touch more grey to the white so that it doesn't over-power this delicate shot. Just going to have to come back and zing this beauty in to my favorites! Jan

Looks like a perfect close-up portrait of an anemone... ;-D!!! Fabulous details, super DOF, nice colors, wonderful crop and good composition... well spotted!!! That shade is somewhat of a blessing 'cause white flowers 'blow-out' very quickly... and now they stand off nicely against that 'dark' background... ;-D!!!

I'm pretty sure it's a Japanese anemone, Don! But whatever it is, you've caught it perfectly! Well done again! Best regards, Chris
