These are the Copper vessels cum apparatus used for heating/boiling waters which work on heat gained by burning scrap wooden pieces in the central cylindrical portion while outside concentric cylinder contains whater which can be taken out through a tap designed at the bottom of the cylinder...avery simple & basic apparatus....Used in ruaral areas...I have actually used them when I used to go to my grandmothers home... But this one is shot recently in southern part of India while travelling....While shooting it evoked so many nostalgic memories...With that heat & burning smell of wood in pleasant cool climate I went back to my childhood.
