The different orientation of the lights was the idea of the people that built the railway station of Lucerne and so I am very greatful to them. ;-)

Well, they illuminated much more than themselves, Marcio, but a spot metering on one of them fooled the brains of the camera to think that it was a strong light situation and so it adjusted shutter and aperture in such a way that underexposure took place, which let anything else disappear except for the lights.
