Hello my dear Paul - I have gone thru your images recently backwards which is not a good thing for this 'about' - :-(
Maybe I should've gone back to the previous image but I already am here and like this image and your explanation as I always appreciate your 'abouts' where as some don't read them, or maybe as You say do not care as much but the ones that do - it is a welcomed addition to your image - ( long sentence ))) With that said I like this image very much.... To me this image is titled appropriately as the faces of these people are so smiling and full of light - and the lady with the black clothing seems just very observant and perhaps cautious (?) anyway an interesting story for me ! Hugs, Kisses, Michele~

Hi Aziz, yes a good idea to partly remove or soften the edges. It's true looking better that the blue side panel of the box could be distracting, otherwise if suppressed you could not see this type of blue phone box. A compromise would be e.g. to put a poster on it with Photoshop :-) best regards, Paul

Thank you Arif, The blue boxes are phone cabins but also social meeting points. I saw many of the in Khartoum as elsewhere in cities and public transport people use cell phones such that they completely forget the people around them like caterpillars staying in cocoons, best regards, Paul

Merci Nicki, I do not know what people think as making a picture. Taken by surprise, mostly people accept, smile or are indifferent, sometimes people get angry. Once here in Paris in the 14th I was nearly lynched and then forced to delete the picture. 12 people came out their houses to shout on me. Two women cried aggressively but could not call the police : being clandestine and fear for authorities and expulsion. Hugs to you, amitiés, Paul

It's a beautiful, journalistic photo. Everything is good and normal. I think it's too normal > ordinary ! Like ladies with no make up ! Might be more attractive with some effects ... Health 'n Happiness Aziz

Hi Harry, but who tells you that these people have the burden of fear and uncertainty? Most people who smile in a reflex are people showing a piece of their heart and open mind. If both groups are now going to react in that smiling way, I'm confused and going to believe that people who show up to be angry are just friendly people :-) enjoy your weekend and don't forget to smile, Paul

Smiling can be a natural way to deal with fear/uncertainty, a reflex.

Thank you dear Srna. I'm thankful for your comment. These people were laughing but was it by being surprised by me, being interested in me or being just friendly to me ? How could I know the difference as too much focused on making the picture? After some cold and rainy days here in Paris, weather is now improving and is taking me outside. Could you believe that I was driving two equally friendly people from Khartoum, Sudan to La-Défense in Paris early this Morning for some sight-seeing. They arrived here yesterday and will stay for 2 weeks. I am their coach. They hadn't been in Europe before yet. Enjoy your weekend as well, hugs and kisses, Paul
