Yeah, the drought is really frightening, John.
It's like a lingering illness that'll eventually, slowly kill you.

While authors created fantastical notions of what happened to the ancient civilizations of Machu Pichu, such as departing on space ships, it's most logical that entire civilizations have been lost due to drought.

Thanks for the sober reminder of the fragility of our own civilizations.
