Thanks for the kind words Marco. I have adjusted the contrast and also used the gradient tool in PS to try and create an increased sense of drama.

Such a powerful and dark image! The dark colors and the contrast work very well here in combination with the mirrored image in the flat surface of the water. Did u enhanced it with artistic filters, or did u simply add contrast? The circumstances seem faboulous to capturing this, the sky looks superb!

Tony, no the water has not been added. The castle has a moat all the way around it. To the right are some trees out of the picture. It was 6.30 am and the light was coming through the trees and directly onto the castle wall.
