Q. Is it really a good deal??

Hye a local buyer here(india) is selling a six month old d70(w kit lens)+50mm 1.8 nikon+ 70-300 f4-5.6 nikon + 2 uv filters +card and other acc.for around USD800. Please suggest what defects to check for(i won't like to buy a defective camera on a purchase that might seem cheap on the face) and whether this is actually good deal to go for.

I just bought a D70 kit for 1000 it came with 3 lenses. I'm not an expert but I would say go look at it inspect it and do your homework online. You may find something online that comes with a better guarantee. Word to the wise I almost paid BIG money for just the body nothing came with it. I was glad I took my time. Also the new rigs are on the market so the D70+lens kits should be going for mere pennies nowadays.

Thanx for your suggestions Ellen...but i guess it came little late...i alreday went through the deal and am now enjoying clicking pictures with my D70
