Q. Starting a new personal project?

By project I mean my own, and not a Usefilm project. I'm thinking of starting a project to do some creative photography of the many churches (operating and derelict) in the city I live. How do you approach the beginning of a personal project? Do you plan projects in advance, or do you find yourself unconsciously creating them as you go along?

g'day AT, usually the latter, I have in mind a project at the moment but cannot start because the weather has become unsettled, that is, we've had no rain for most of the year, now I decide to do a project that requires harsh lighting the weather is not cooperating, frustrating

it is intersting to look back over my work of several years and to realise there are similarities in subject and style that were unconscious at the time

get out and look around, create images and the concepts start to form
