  Q.  A great Semi Nude of the late JANIS JOPLIN

Asked by Chuck Freeman    (K=13616) on 2/4/2006
If you are near 40, or an avid Rock and Roll fan, then you know of and about the fabulously talented JANIS JOPLIN ( singer) from late 60's and early 70's. She was hard living and a heavy drinker, drugs and a great performer. Unfortunately, she died from an overdose in early 70's.
There is not many photos of her except while on stage where she frequently had a bottle of Whiskey. She was very attractive, but a typical 'Hippie."
In the September, 30, 2004 issue of the famous ROLLING STONE magazine, there is a very good photo of JANIS, in a very rare semi-nude/nude. I DO NOT REMEMBER THE PHOTOGRAPHERS NAME, But I know he was a photographer for many RR singers. In this photo in ROLLING STONE, you can see her beauty and a very somber and beautiful look from this great Artist whom self destructed at age 27 years.

Well, I guess no one cares about Janice Joplin. Maybe no one cares -but what could she have been????

Hey Chuck,

I care about Janis. She was a real woman. I've got most of her albums, and I think that 'Piece of My Heart' is one of the all-time great songs.

Best,
Helen
