In my camera (Canon Digital Rebel XT) have a option called NOISE REDUCTION FOR LARGE EXPOSURE. This option I tuned ON, and the noise is no so important.

I like this but I thought you couldn't get much more than a few mins without severe noise using a digital camera. I tried this with a Nikon D70 and exposures over 30 secswere useless.

This is a grand star trails picture. I never tire of enjoying these. I really like your composition with the cactus admiring the view. I am glad it was featured on the Home Page. Otherwise, I may have missed seeing it. Congratulations on the Award.

WOW, how long did that rebel xt go before running out of batteries? I'm suffering with my D200 it can go up to 2 hours only.
Great job with this shot, Marco. However, its a bit too sharp. ;)
