Godetia or Godezia, an annual, is known as "Farewell to Spring" because of the dramatic show of bicolor pink, red, lavender and blue blooms in spring and early summer. Also called, Satin Flower, this West Coast native is a member of the Clarkia family.
Thank you so much for your review, Ann. Even though it is supposed to be a spring flower, I planted the seeds late. I've been waiting all summer for them to start blooming. Boy, it was worth the wait. I captured this in the "sweet" light of sunset.
