This is a really nice composition and presentation! I love the different levels of reds on the petals and how well the flower works against the fade-to-black background.

Very nice Laurie. this is a minor suggestion and I'm not sure why it bothers me but I think I would like it better if the right and left didn't have the thin black border. At least I'd like to compare which I'd like better.

Amazing composition Laurie! I REALLY love this one!!! Artistically and photographically top notch. I expect this should earn you an award! I wouldn't be too surprised to see this in a print add in the coming months. The balance and colours are perfect. Hats off to you!

Beautiful Laurie. Love the half/half composition too - very unusual and striking and just goes to show that the rule book can be thrown out of the window sometimes! Good detail but it seems to be a little soft on the focus in the central regions of the flower.
Excellent colours and good choice of background colour too....
Works very well together...

I do like the graduated vignette at the top and the bottom - makes you focus on that sharp and detailed flower center. I like the red background too.
