Whoever came up with the UF formula must have a PhD in Psychology, because, man! this thing works on your ego like Pavlov on his dogs.

Thanks, I have no merit in this. People write millions of comments. Mine and yours, and a few others' like our friends - and they know who they are - just happen to be more than one-liners. I think we're randomly selected by a computer, and then someone just checks it to make sure it doesn't contain profanities. I'd love someone to prove me wrong.

Oh, wow! What a difference! The cropping and the sepia. In color it has quite a different quality, it certainly doesn't have the same impact!

Hmmm...adding attachments on here is frustratingly flaky, esp when there are no messages about image size to explain why one's upload failed...Another go:

Hey Ina - and I have you to thank for that singular honour! I did a double-take when I saw Amish Country XX on the Front Page haha! And many many thanks to Susie O'Connor too, whose interest and comments inspired me to do better in this series on the Amish of Lancaster County. Kind regards, Anthony

TY Don, I am encouraged by your comments. One could even say 100, or 200 years ago too, such is the unchangeable, timeless, lifestyle of the Old Order Amish.

Anthony,
What I love about this picture is the fact that it could have been taken 50 years ago and it would look the same. The sepia effect really works. One of my favorites of your series

Fantastic image! I love the fact that there is no distracting cloud in the sky, no color (just sepia tones) and no other information than what you want to communicate. The message is clear and well taken. Composition is great in terms of ground space below and empty space above. Again, a timeless image! And a 7/7 Ina
