I used PaintShop Pro 9 for the quick edit - it's relatively inexpensive (<$100 USD) and should be available in Australia (er... Assuming you are using MS Windows). Photoshop Elements is another program in the same price range and is available for both Mac and Windows; and there's always GIMP if you are of the Linux persuasion. Go for it. Your picture is definitely worth it.

Excellent image. I wish I could take a snap like this. It looks really good after the edit. You can do basic image editing with this freeware called FastStone Image Viewer.

Outstanding! I really like this shot. I agree with you about removing the other branches. If you spend a bit of time in PS you could end up with something really special. I hope you don't mind but I did a quick job to see if it would look as good as I imagined - I think it does.
