dear bradley, "strong tobacco" as we say in german. your view has an enormous impact and power on me, not to speak of the vision your words are creating along with it. a picture that cannot be misunderstood in its outstanding alarm and warning. great1 happy new year

Michael, you're right... this chair totally freaked me out! The whole experience of several visits was extremely unsettling. The whole place has a feeling of "hidden secrets".

It?s a scary place brad, I like the HARD light and HARD contrast here, and it suits the subject. Primitive technology, primitive psychiatric methods. The image is disturbing, and that?s cool! But, This image cannot compare with how disturbing it must have been to be strapped down to that chair! This picture makes you really think, I have no suggestions on this one, I wouldn?t change a thing. ~Mike

Very poignant, Sir. The poetry is acerbic and brilliant: deprived of choices, rage, memory!

It looks like a treatment or torture chair for those who are not willing to adapt themselves to the rules. the extremly hard light contrast emphasizes the feeling of threat and fear.

I read your verse, then looked at the image...and felt deep cold surge up the base of my spine.
You can taste the ash of burnt memory here...sense terror and despair in the rusted iron. Like a rabbit harried by a mongoose until it loses the will to live, and stands mutely watching its end approach.
I always save your images from this series for viewing last, Brad. They demand a space of their own, deserve to be viewed in silence...it's impossible to see, then blithely move on. Their effect lingers long after the monitor's glow has faded.
Unforgettable.

Creepy, esp. here in the early morning hours all alone at my desk. The harsh contrast, no doubt like the treatment. Nicely done Brad~
