You had better luck than I with this flower, the other day I spent some time taking shots and wound up with little to show for it.
The red variety are difficult but I think you did well on the colour and capturing great detail.Nice shot Larry...Best wishes..Ray

Nice composition Larry, and a pretty flower I think I would be tempted to brighten just a litle bit, as the centre if so good, it might bring out the light and texture a bit more - had a go, see what you think

Lovely image! The colors are so vibrant! I love the detail - you can practically see the little grains (are they called grains?) or pollen =)
