The thing I like best about this image is how starkly the building stands out from the background. It looks almost like a miniture built for a movie. This looks like it was a difficult shot to expose properly, with highlights and shadows both important to the picture. The camera or film struggles to capture detail at the extremes, but you definately found the happy medium. Color is rich and moody. Was this photo heavily manipulated? If it's cropped, maybe try shifting the subject to the left so that the front of the church "looks" into a little negative space on the right. Right now the left side has more space. Nice work.
