Hi Rina....I'm here for long enough (a few more days) to catch this on the front page and congratulate you for being Miss Flappy Mouth featured critique.
A gorgeous image. Stunning colours. I never even thought about it but with all those volcanoes over there you're bound to have some awesome sunsets such as this one. Lucky you! Beautiful!
Happy Flappin' Rina
Cheers from Ann - :)

Almost surreal photo. Great job. I agree with Chris about adding something in the foreground to give more depth. Great composition though. As a side note to your forum thread, I wouls say don't spend time thanking folks for comments, unless they raised a question or thought in your head, instead go to their site & look around. You'll see more of the communities work that way, and learn lots. :) Keep up the good work. Dottie

Thanks Chris! Yes, I was on a boat at the time. Totally agree with you about having another point of interest in the foreground. And after spending the last half hour pouring over your portfolio, I'm inspired to do more with landscape photography.
Cheers Rina

I like this sort of image...it has a very open feeling to it. The only advice I could give is to include something from the foreground in the frame (unless of course you were on a boat and there was none). It seems to add to the depth and visual interest of such sunset photos to have something, even a minor element such as a couple of rocks, in the foreground. Cheers,
Chris

(Snap! I just read your last comment as I write this...cheers)
Thanks Bruce.
I've seen some amazing vertical stitching techniques by other usefilm members (in particular, Carsten Ranke) that I'd love to try myself at some point. To get more of the sky and water in, and still keep a square image.
Now, if only the sky would behave for me...

A gloriously fiery sky, Rina. You've got a nice, sharp semi-cloud cover, making the sun look like an atom bomb. Very good reflection on the water, also.
