Thank you Trish! That's very sweet of you! A good majority of the photo was composed after the shoot using Photo Impact [disposing of toys and soccer nets and a framed something in the background, as well as creating the studio-looking wall behind him, etc. etc.].

i've noticed the same thing about the left hand, but other than that it is a really nice picture. sam has an interesting face and the outfit works very well.

Mihir Shah: Thank you very much for the comment! The main soft light source was natural lighting from outside, as well as a small hanging light over the bar. The backlighting was not really there, the entire background I created after the photoshoot on my computer. The 5 minute exposure is inaccurate, the website automatically put that and I will edit that.

hi kaeli,very nice composition, really like the range of tones captured.overall a classic shot, very well excecuted.
just one question, can you pls explain the lighting set up and the source. cannot help but be curious abt 5 min exposure and the technique used.
