I wonder if that is ice forming in and around the branch in the water? It could be ice or froth, can't quite make it out. And is the almost specular reflection from the river due to ice formed on the surface? Or is it perhaps an effect of the long time exposure...?

I just looked at your website. You are one beautiful talented photographer! I was wondering, did you enhance the colors in your photos with photoshop?
You really showed me the possiblilities of what a photographer can do, and this really pushes the extreme! Do you sell a book? I really would love to see this book. I want to learn and follow your steps in making these wonderful shots. I want to become as excellent as you.
