this photo was taken at a huge march in Damascus a month or so ago. It was a very nice march to attend -- people were there with babies, lots of high school students, and of course other adults. Everyone was very friendly and happy! The title is the chant that was repeated throughout the march "God, Bishar (the president), Syria, Only!"

This photo really captures the optimism and glee that I saw at the march. I love the row of girls holding hands. This is a side of Syria that is not normally seen in Western media. Love it!
