Left a ZZR-600 back in the UK 2.5 years ago when my wife and I left for NZ (she's the kiwi - she dragged me 'home' ! ) - am dying to get back on 2 wheels - but the camera won the argument at the time (cos I could buy it without further debt.....) but of course.. then came the lens i needed... and the bag...and a tripod... now I need a flash... and maybe some more lenses... and some macro tubes.... and... and.... and....

On and on it goes.... it will only get more satisfying when I can get to my locations with a twist of the wrist :) Do you ride?

Great to meet you - and thanks for adding me to your friends :)

Hi kiny :)

- 'tis me on the GSXR - unfortunately it's not mine :( i am without a bike at the minute (have been for a couple of years :((

unfortunately (or maybe fortunately!) - the last time I had enough for a good deposit on a new set of two wheels... I blew it on a new camera !

Thanks for lookin' :)

best wishes

Steve

Hi Kiny :)

Great image - love the lighting. Only comments have already been mentioned - but it is very easy to get so drawn in to the picture that you don't notice the tilt :)

nice composition in that the top of the posts exactly follow the horizon.

Verrrry nice :)

Hi Cessy, thank you for your warm comments. No the sloping horizon wasn't intentional, I missed it. I was a bit overwhelmed with the colours (but that's no excuse). Cheers

Carsten Ranke   {K:14476} 4/26/2005
I would rotate it a bit clockwise (as already said, horizon tilt) and crop a bit off from the sky to get a Golden section ratio sky to water. Then it is a brillíant shot, the contrast of vivid and dark colors and the perspective make it stand out of the crowd

for first sunrise, it's really wonderful
the light the bridge leads the eye to the backgroung and the reflection is marvelous.
I found the horizon is slightly tilted, is it deliberately done ?

Great lighting effect from behind. Nice tones in the sky and good depth with the dock - taking ones eye from side of the photo to the center.
Nice work.

OOH yeah... saw the O/exp comment and yeah well its bein a bit picky I reckon ..I actually was showing UF to the Tues class and they all agreed and liked the emphasis added by the slight blowout on the hilites..I just picked on the leaning water kekeke
