About Went to Croyde beach this weekend and took a few snaps. Nothing planned, just informal fun.
My camera went a little mad at one stage and shot 5 frames very over exposed - not sure if it was camera or operator error mind! This was actually one of them. I ended up liking the dreamy effect but needed to bring back a little contrast in PS.
Crop as taken from the camera.

Shot at 200mm

Hi Matt, What do you think of trying a copy of this one with the saturation turned way down low, so there is just the slightest hint of colour. Some other adjustments might have to be made if you try it, but it might look good too. Not better, just different.

Grant,

Proabably too late but sleeping early on Sunday with the prospect of Monday at work isn't ever an option - always make the most of the weekend!

Right... Surf. Pretty poop, didn't go for that so wasn't too bothered. Was about 2ft if lucky, on the push it had a bit more strength though!

Yeah Testinos work is one of my favs. I have a book of his work with the Dianna shots you are refering to and they always catch my eye! It's definatly a dreamy look and suits some applications/models really well.

The old file was enough to send me crazy so I gave up. I think I'm on the right path now anyway, so hopefully I've passed that tutorial!

So, how's the weeks tuition been? I've only seen a couple of uploads and was expecting loads? Come on!!!

Right - sleep I think!

It is too late to be up on the PC! I like this shot & the soft light. We were trying to emulate this in the studio on the course I was doing. I'll post later.

For some classic shots with a similar lighting to this have a look at some of Testinos work - particularly the Lady Dianna shots. They are pure magic.

Anyway did you decipher the file I sent & how was the surf?
