ALison you can't improve this for the detail in the shot or your courage. I would have run a mile, despite my desire to get interesting shots. He looks scary, definitely 7+++ for this Margaret

Check and see what your min focus is. the leaf in front of him is in focus. I use forced flash and a high (f11-f16) apeture. I also enlarge and adjust the contrast and light. You can use the sharpening tool and bring up the edges of the pixels. The most important thing is to make sure you're not to close and you need maximum Depth-of-field once you find that focus. As to number of shots taken, I might take 100 to get 1-5 good shots. The great thing about digital is you have all you want. Shoot away.I shoot at ISO 100 so when I do enlarge I don't have noise problems.I just got some new software(I have been using a 2000 version)from Microsoft, so the shots will look better soon.-Rich

Did you zoom with your spider. He looks so big and fills the screen, with my worm he is about 2 inches long and as fat as my pointing finger and he looks small but when I go closer he gets more blurred. :-( aaarrrggghhhhhhhh help. :-)

Thanks Montery. Oh wow your spider is wonderful. Such detail. I was "playing "again last night and still got 9 out of 10 images blurred. I just can't figure out what on earth I am doing!! I am so frustrated. I must have shot 2 doz photos of this worm and 2 are fair. :-(

Cool pic Alison. Make sure your attachment is not bigger than 120k and 500X500 pixils in size. Any bigger and it wont go through.
