Angelo: Thank you for the comments. When we have more than just a few hummingbirds, the shooting is rather straightforward. Until then, they are difficult to capture.
If only we had the number of hummingbirds here that there is in Brazil. They only come to see us in the summer as well.

Fred,
There are some stunning hummingbird pictures you have in your portfolio. I particularly like this one, as it shows incredible detail on the bird's had, whils still imparting the incredible speed and grace of her movements.
You must have spent a long time casing this bird and this spot to be able to set up this shot, and it's a wonderful photo.
