Hey Stu, I appreciate your concern but he does seem to have a smile on his face. It is a superbly detailed image and DOF really enhances the subject. Glad you posted it. Den

It is really nice capture Stu with great DOF, but i have a small info for you, chaining the camels like this is not cruel at all, it is necessary and sometimes it is a must, as Camels intend to use their teeth allot, they bite each other, and humans, must of the human get bitten from the head or the neck, trust me, they can kill with their teeth, so don't feel sorry about it my friend, it doesn't hurt them, your are very sensitive :) Kind Regards my friend,

It's unfortunate the camel is treated this way, Stu, but you've made an excellent photo of it, and it's interesting to see how they do things in other parts of the world. Dave.

Not cruelty... practicality when dealing with one of the nastiest domestic critters on earth. You must have kept your distance and used a telephoto setting, or it would have probably spat at your kind thoughts.

Stu over here camels run wild and free. But there are also camels used as a way of life touring the countryside. They lead a good life and are not subjected to cruelty. So it really depends, I feel, as to how they are treated in their lives in general. Rusty chains...no...I don't agree with.

It is still a lovely photo Stu and the camel appears to be in good health which is the main thing. The detail is super :-)
Best wishes, Steve
