Portraits are the best and most obvious subjects in rural parts of China in my opinion. I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot. Sometimes I jump up saying "yesss!" right after pressing the shutter because I immediately feel the picture will be a keeper. I have been looking at your pictures (it's always nice to see other people's work of similar subjects), and I'll keep watching the new ones. Unfortunately due to my switch to medium format around a year ago my prints became too big to scan, so I still have to find a way to share my recent photos.

have just started doing portraits in china myself, quite similar to this one in fact. thanks for introducing black and white portraits to me.....
