City - Puerto del carmen State - LANZOROTE Country - Spain
About
Just returned from my diving holidays. Lanzarote is a tiny little island off the west coast of Africa just besides Morraco. Very popular holiday destination among western europeans.
Its an amazing island for its volcanic landscape. The hole island is black from the past multiple erruptions from 3 major volcanoes. No greens what so ever except palm trees and cactus even though its not a desert.
It belongs to Spain from its colonial past. Lanzarote is one of the 5 small islands of Canary islands.
Cactus and palms are the commen trees and shrubs.
Beautiful beech scene. lanzorote is full of long, sun drenched, sumptous beeches. What difference.
The inland is noting but one burntout lava flow, mile and miles of black churned out earth bereft of any vegitation what so ever. So much violence and distruction fit for a big continent but in a small island.
Hi Ken, I enjoyed reading your information about Lanzarote. Nice image, but I think with a slight push in saturation and contrast (see attached) the photo would come more alive. Also, there's a slight tilt in the horizon.
