Hi,
the glow works very well here, IMHO. the sun spots make this image. while I like the somehow desaturated look, I would suggest to add a light frame (especially for the blown-out area in the upper left) and to give the pole a bit more room (with a slightly different capture angle).
nice street shot anyway.

I like the angle dear friend, and the aura that you gave was a good idea.As for the feelings ...well..I feel the feeling of solitude somehow looking at it, and to be honest I like that feeling, good happy days for me are not depicted here, but I am sure you will agree there is no need to intrepret a photo in rose-coloured spectacles all the time!
