About I see so many lovely macros at Usefilm, but this is the closest my rangefinders can get.

Oh wow, I see what you mean about the format! I hesitated to use it but now have a new vision!

The colours here are wonderful, and the format is perfect.

Amazing Colours Roger. Stephen is right, this is alot more vivid in its saturation that I am used to seeing from you. I like.

Hi Roger; hope your moving has gone well. Glad you liked the B&W "rockscape" that I posted for you. As I'm sure you know, typicaly when you shoot into the sun everything in the foreground is silhouetted, but on this one the sky wasn't so bright that all detail was lost and I was able to bring some of it out. The photo is busy (lots of detail), but organized enough-- I think-- to have a lot of visual interest, and it's already become one of my favorites. Cheers. Craig

Thanks, Betram. These flowers are called "Higan-bana" that's Higan-flower, where Higan is the equinox, when the day is exactly the same length as the night. The flowers bloom PRECISELY at this time of the year... Don't know what they're called in English.

Hi Roger; wonderful subject, colors, and composition. There are both S" curves and diagonals in this photo which add dynamics and interest. This is a creative use of your rangefinder. Nice work.

Thanks for comments on my coiled rope pic. Cheers. Craig

Splendid Roger! I can see this in a long vericle print in a bamboo frame! Congratulations to Mr Thornton on joining the Leica cadres. I look forwards to seeing something posted - John B

Oh, I forgot to tell you . . . The stupid Voigtlander suckered me into appreciating rangefinders again and trading off some of my Nikon stuff for a new M6. Next, I had to have a 90 APO ASPH or whatever, so I am again poor but Leica-endowed!

Well, without closeup capabilities you are forced to be more creative. I like the unusual aspect ratio of the image.

Extraordinary photograph Roger. Very nice scattered composition and somehow it looks like those long elongated rice paper drawings. Regards, Rob.

Unlike anything I've seen you load up before in terms of colour and composition! A real knock-out!!
My compliments!
Best regards, Chris
