One rough looking bunch!

I rate it at 6 due to the fact that it looks quite oversharpened.

Dear Harry,

The widescreen format is wisely chosen. it adds a lot to the scene and creates a huge focus to the eagles. nice tonal range.
well done!
take care,
thilo

Thanks for viewing and comments Sam. The one on the left is a juvenile and might be female, but hard to tell, because it's a bit bigger than most of the other six. The female Birds of Prey are always a bit bigger than the males...Best regards, Harry

Another amazing shot, really fantastic group of bald eagles arrayed in a wavy line... like they are in communication about the weather and the food availability or something.

the one on the left may be a female (so says my friend)... is that what they are talking about?

This picture reminds me of an old "Far Side" comic. It's a bunch of cows standing in a field, talking like you would at a water cooler in an office building. Suddenly, one cow notices some humans coming, and shouts at the rest to get into character. Beautiful shot of truly magnificent creatures!

We seem to be hitting an issue with the difference in gamma between Apple and Windows computers. I'm not sure what is the "right" view of it. When I looked at the image with the Levels command, the histogram stopped short of white, so I thought perhaps that was the reason for it being "too dark" where I see it. But apparently that gives varying results between our systems. Oh well!

Perhaps this is also the reason why some images look fine to me on usefilm (maybe those originating from a pc) and others look dark (maybe those were originating from a mac).

In any case, this is a neat image - I've never seen that many eagles in a single place!

Thank you very much for viewing and commenting on this image Jenny. The way you did submit the image is way to light on my screen (23 inch Apple HD) and all the details in the head feathers is gone that way. Maybe your screen is a little dark. I did see the image on three different monitors and it looked good....Best regards, Harry

Great shot! This cant be something that you see everyday? The one in the left corner in the picture looks odd.. a young one or just to much smoke/oil?

Love the composition and the details. Great light asswell! Very very good. 7++

Cheers!

This looks like it was scanned a bit dark. Here's a lighter version - does this look more like the original slide?

I love the panoramic format for this one.

Neat grouping of eagles. Nicely cropped down to keep the focus where it should be.

Kind of bedraggled looking! Looks like they don't like the ugly duckling on the far left!
This really is a GREAT capture! I like it.

Very nice capture. I like the way the panoramic crop emphasizes the arrangement of the birds on the beach.
