About Used a 2 stop Grad reverse Grad by Singh Ray and Kodak E100VS Slide File. This film is awesome for vivid colors, pretty good for long exposure in terms of reciprocity but the longer you expose it the grainier it becomes.

I wonder at the title. Looks like a perfectly natural winner to me. Unusual? yes!

Patrick, I just saw your new submission on timecatcher.com, "Dreamland", and it is superlative! Your other images, which I had previously seen, are comparable. Keep up the good work!

Hi Barry, Thanks for your comments. I can't really say that I have experienced this. I find that in some areas Velvia wins hands down and others I prefer VS like on those overcast days. But the lack of fine grain in VS makes me want to always head for Velvia from now on. But you will obtain spectacular results with VS worth giving it a try. Just be careful that the longer the exposure the more grain will be visible in your shot.

Hi Buddy Thanks for your great comments. No maipulation was done in PS apart for the usual sharpening and level adjusting done after scanning my slide.

Lovely, similar to my shot of Gomera Sunrise in "landscapes".

It's very satisfying when it comes off.

regards,

Mike

Great light Pat and the reverse ND grad helped a lot. I recently saw some other sunrise and sunset shots taken with E100VS and it certainly seems to produce some pretty spectacular colours - I might have to try a roll. My only concern is that where Velvia accentuates colour, E100VS seems to create colours, especially reds and purples! Have you found this to be the case?

A very pleasing and surreal image. Very staid symmetry low, and amorphic asymmetry balance high...the spiky feathers of cirrus clouds add interest. Any manipulation of this shot besides the grad filter? Very nice sunset.
