This photo brings up alot of feelings! I can almost feel the air there.. the smell of summer and warmed up tree (the building). The light are amazing and so are the tones and details. Lovely composition. Love it.. 7++
Cheers!

I love these ghostly shots that could be scenes from old horror movies. You adjust them perfectly to reveal just enough to make sense and conceal just enough to make them scary.

Spooky! Just right on the lighting, not too dark to make out the fine detail! Has kind of a glowing look. Great shot! Carolyn

You do have a way of attaining that silvery glow that is in many of your cemetery shots. It is your trademark. It can add contradicting qualities from serene to surreal to eerie, to your images depending on what other elements are in the picture. Here you have a disquieting effect heightened by the tangle of grasping vines and the boarded up window. Something secretive and very old lays behind that door.

I was just looking back through a number of your postings. I have told you before how much I enjoy the beautiful landscapes around your native Lynchburg but I also enjoy the rather mysterious effects you achieve in your black and whites. You manage to get great detail while using minimum lighting so as not to loose that sort of "spooky" effect. I sometimes wish I could compare the original to the postings. I always enjoy the results. Keep it up,,,but dont give up your bright landscapes either. Del.

Really nice - I love the texture of the brickwork! This gives a feeling both of neglect and of strength at the same time, with the vines and weeds slowly overtaking the building, but unable to destroy the craftsmanship of the carefully laid brick. Like Gayle said, the toning lends it a beautiful, rich silvery-platinum look!
