The Museum of Natural History in London is a Victorian masterpiece and so this photograph aims to show some of that style but also having natural light illuminating the two figures. This is a place of learning and I thought the image of two people being naturally illuminated worked well into that theme.
technical details: I almost deleted this image as it appeared over exposed, when in fact it was just that I had correctly exposed for the background, thus the momentary spot of light through the window (the reason I took the shot in the first place) was over exposed. Making an adjustment upon RAW coversion, adjust about -1.5 stops, gave an image I was pleased with. Some of the distractions have been cropped out (although it was a hard debate - two figures to the right, though in the shade, were staring up into the magical light that had appeared). Sharpening destroyed the feeling of the image, so I blurred much of the highlights.
