Thanks very much for your comments Linn. I have given the idea of digitally removing the tether however I feel this would remove the honesty of the picture. For me a major part of its attraction is that this existed which is not to say that I don't find it ok to tie animals tie up rather that my job (in this case) is to capture the world as it is.

Beautiful. Especially the way the white "field" in the door frame the roosters head like a portrait in the picture.
