Williams San. Totally, I understood what you want to say about "bokeh". Surely, the orange and white circles are not natural. Very difficult to use a zoom lens. If I were in Disney Land at sunset time, maybe these kind of unexpected double circles will be fine as a visionary "bokeh". Right ? Anyway, very difficult to use and choose a zoom lens properly, and many things to learn about this !!! Thanks for your constructive and straight comments on this photograph. Regards, Koichi
I think I probably wasn't clear enough in what I wrote. I didn't mean that the amount of bokeh was wrong, indeed, I think it's about ideal, What I meant was that I didn't like the KIND of bokeh, the "bokeh-aji." I particularly don't like circles with sharp edges and lines that become doubled. I thought that I could see both of these in the background, and they distracted me. But bokeh-aji is a very personal thing--all a matter of taste. It is a fact, though, that it is difficult to design zoom lenses with nice smooth bokeh. This is what I meant about "zoom" bokeh.
Williams San, Thanks for your comments. It was a little bit after 6:00 PM and a shutter speed was 1/80 (ISO 400). If it were daytime. I use F8-10, so that "bokeh" should be less than this background. However, I don't think, this is a problem with zoom lens. In order to get more contrast between 2 guys and background, I like and need this kind of gradation. Regards, Koichi
Good interaction between these two men. I love that hand gesture the older man is making... and the slightly reserved expression of the younger man (maybe he thinks it isn't a very good idea, whatever it is). I don't like the "bokeh" in the background very much, though. That is often a problem with zoom lenses, isn't it!
I like it very, very much. The two figures really stand out of the BG. The back ground is full of colours! The person on the right side is a bit out of focus, but perhaps you could solve it! Congrats!
