it must have been subconcious! There's something very rich about the colours.

You are welcome Lizzy! Interesting that you singled out (subconsciously?) the only two landscapes I have on here that were taken with a trusty old compact camera in the days before I got my first SLR... :)

I'm really impressed with this Phil, your composition is really good-the soft curves at the bottom of the shot give this a good foreground in what could so easily have been a flat image. I also think your exposure is spot on and must have been tricky to calculate given the shadows and bright snow.

Nice shot Phil. I love the repeating forms and the lighting. And of course the landscape is wonderful. Hope you didn't step on one of those cornices!
