While technically it could be brought down one stop, I like the overblown skin, making only the dark areas float and stand out.

I think you are totally correct! I liked the pose so much, I just went with it regardless - but you are right. OH, to have a do-over ;)

Jay I like the portrait and the pose , composition is good ,could use a little less exposure. I like it as it is but wonder what it would look like with 1 stop less exposure. I know you would loose detail in the clothing but you would gain some skin detail
