My blue snow image was converted to B/W in Photoshop and then colorized to get the blue tint. On this particular image, I did a lot of work to bring out the highlights and shadows and retain texture in the snow. Fortunately the exposure was right and did not blow out detail in the highlights (except that one spot in the sky), so I was able to bring it out. I used curves, levels and hue/saturation. I also did some selective dodging and burning.
I wanted to recapture the same feel I had when I took the shot.

The color is incredible.
Did you use a photo program to change the color.
I enjoy the sky and the land scape. I was not so successful in catching scenes in the snow. the lighting is difficult.

A beautiful image, with the blue toning making it look even colder than it obviously was. Like Marybell, I wish that "hole" in the sky had just a trace of texture in it. Also, I can't quite work out whether this is a night shot or a day shot made to look like a night shot. But a great image!

Wow, this is a very very cold but wonderfull picture. The snow is superb wonderfull white, and i really really like the blue colours in the picture! The sky is indeed very very threatening. It is a lovely picture and you chose for superb colours!! My compliments on this perfect work!
