Wow - Nice! Not many people associate the violin with ballet slipper's reguardless that that is how it used to be taught. Wonderful job with object placement and composition.

Like the image but could be improved....tighter crop so there is less neg. space upper right corner and get rid of the annoying vertical wrinkles..and the pattern that looks like wood grain. Distracting from the niice photo you have.

Nice work Ray, the whites are exquisite. What bothers me are the Newton-ring-like reflections (I guess) on the fabric, running from the bottom part of the violin towards the upper right corner. Is there any particular reason why you didn't included a bow in the image? I realise that an odd number of elements will often work better than an even number, but still I would normally expect a bow in this kind of still life.

This is almost perfect. Lighting is great, and the idea is a good one. But - the creases in the backdrop shouldn't be there.
