Hi Dee Dee - film or digital grain wasn't really the point I tried to get across. Sometimes scanned grain looks like this too. The problem with showing grain is that you really need quite high resolution to do it justice. In small images such as we can show here on usefilm it often turns into a bit of "pixel-dust" and it does not convey the intended feel very well. Another problem here may be if you applied an unsharp mask after the grain (which it looks like to me), you tend to get a lot of hot looking pixels.
All of which is too bad because I think this is very good portrait otherwise.

I like it and you are a very beautiful woman! About the grain effect... I don't know... Somehow I belive it hides part of your natural beauty, specially in those astonishing eyes... would it be better without the grain in the eyes? I believe so.
Anyway I like the atitude, the tones and the lighting... There is a lot of appeal in this photo! Congrats!

I looks like a great photo, but the grain does not translate to the digital presentation here. Is it a print with grain or was the grain added as a digital effect?
