this might have more impact with a 90 degree rotation ccw...even at that, the shutter appears to have been too slow to prevent a motion blur, losing some detail right between the eyes...colors are good and draw me to the image, however, I find the frame distracting...it is interesting in it's own right...but does not work well with the image

My complements John. Oh my! An ultimate macro! Very good and for this super small distance I think the zoom is perfect! I really think you must be at about 1cm to take this. I also be sure that you must taken this shut using big resolution photo so you can cut this part. Ok, never mine, the result is that I watch and comment here, if you did this technic or not, the result is surely very impressive and I like it a lot. Surely 5X7 rating....well even 5X8 is also worthy here.
