I took this, this afternoon around 2 p.m.this afternoon, monday jan,26. the storm that just stopped left us with about eight inches fresh powdery snow.. a second storm, much bigger than the first, will hit in about 10 to 12 hours from now, I spent a large part of the afternoon riding around in my four-wheel-drive Ford Explorer Suv looking for interesting winter shots... I got a few of what I think are nice shots.( which i will try to post over the next few days) I did, however slip and slide around quite a bit in my truck but with the four-wheel-drive I can go almost anywhere and it was fun! thanks for all your lovely comments on my work.. your friend, jon

I like this image so much, Jon!
I love winter shots with snow and this is a very special one. Beautiful not only for the composition but also and expecially for the tones. Amazing, because it looks like a mixture of sepia and B&W. Love the tiny ducks swimming on the left of the pond.

Ahhh Jon if only you knew.... I'm knee deep in snow here in Munich, minus 5?C or something... you wouldn't walk a dog in this cold. It ruined me booties today... This reminds me of Bavaria at the moment, and it's beautiful - pity about the booties though!
