Tim, Just wanted you to know that I appreciate your point of view. Your work shows that you like to come close to your subjects. And I agree it would be nice to see more of the detail in the paving stones. Your close up shots are inspiring. Bill.

George, I love the sky and the tower. And the feast of colors.

Tim, the paving stones are great, but primarily as a dynamic balance for the tower itself - and its outline against the blue sky. I believe it works best WITH the tower. The only thing I might have done was try a little deeper color to bring out textures (without losing the paintings in shadow by the entrance) and straightening the horizon a bit, adding more blue sky if it looks too tight. But this more pastel version (on my monitor) is still a pleasure to look at.

Another artist doing the same thing we all are, offering our work to the audience!
I think that I would would prefer the shot with the tower cropped out to emphasize the repeated rectangles of the paving stones, the side of the building and the painting. Very nice image capture George.
