The ability to do this photo is equal to that to arrange all the paper sheets in this artistic way!!! Maybe I would have centered it, but in any case it?s a wondeful, original and very elegant abstracts, very well done!!! Bye Max

PS: the bit of grain doesn't disturb in my opinion ;)

Natalie Papadopoulos   {K:5247} 12/19/2003
another work of art.. congrats. i like the way the "flower" is offset a little in the framing.. i don't always think we need to use rule of thirds.. artistic creativity is more important to me.

Spirograph daisy meets jet engine... Great work Barry. I do prefer the noise reduced one.

Barry! Wow, the shot without grain is flawless!

David Yates   {K:4698} 12/19/2003
Barry,
Well it gets a bit tiresome saying the same things again and again (like brilliant, highly creative, perfectly lit, etc.) but it's all true.
And you even made it yourself!
I read in your response to someone else's question that most of your shots are done w/ available light, which mystifies me even more (I was picturing some elaborate and expensive studio setup- damn, another excuse I can't use for why I couldn't possibly do this myself).
So there we are: simple camera + simple prop + simple lighting + massive creativity = great photo. Now all I have to do is apply this formula to my own work!
Regards, David
ps- even better w/ noise reduction

buzz kill   {K:1808} 12/19/2003
i think that the lighting works well with this shot.... a bit noisy

Terry McCully   {K:9221} 12/19/2003
Great contrast here

Julie Buckwald   {K:526} 12/19/2003
i immediately drawn to this - the only constructive critism i can make is that you didn't use the 'rule of thirds' and it's almost in the centre but not quite (from what i've read - a no no)

Dave M   {K:9043} 12/19/2003
Barry, this is outstanding. What incredible talent and creativity. I only wish for less noisy, but I think remember reading that the 5050 tends to be quite noisy under certain lighting conditions. Great job!
