This is my first picture post. This is not the very best in quality and taken when I had less knowledge of the art of photography. The photo evokes joy in me so I like it. What could I have done to make this a better shot.
Thanks for the comments, Sue. I didn't expect any comments and especially so soon.
Well I didn't use anything to enhance the picture quality. I used a Fuji color print film(can't remember which one) and I have no technical data on the shot - I should start taking notes. I wasn't even thinking about filters at that point in time, but now I am experimenting with them. I will revisit this spot in Central Park's botanical garden, this time with slide film and a polarizer - thanks for the idea. And do feel free to play around with the pic, I can only learn more. Thanks again.
Denzil, I have to say that the composition is very nice. I certainly sense the joy you mentioned and you show enough of the rest of the statue to suggest a ring of children (nymphs?) playing in a ring. I really like this.
You don't mention if you used any filters and I don't know what film you used. I played with this in Photoshop a little to remove some of the blue and add a little red and green to warm it up. Hope you don't mind my playing about.
