Mmmmm....maybe I should be chasing pollution instead of seascapes and waves, at least the colours would be good! I feel the colour of the sky is what makes this attractive. It would be nice to have a REAL fence in the foreground, but hey, you can't hire your own and bring it along. Bye!

Hi Heather :-)
Just thought I'd say that other then getting a good laugh from Russ' edited version of your photo, there is a very important thing we can learn from it.
Whats the main difference between his and your own version? Very obvious, the lines are the difference. IMO, colours can be very nice, but they wont be justified if they arent presented to the viewer by some context ( a well composed - lines ! - photo)
So the idea of silhouetted shapes agains colourfull sky are nice. But the lines of the silhouette just lack interest.
Well hope this is of any use for you! :-)
Best regards, Julien

We get those pink skies in Manitoba as well, this is very nice. It seems to be missing something to add to the shot. Not the bird that Russel inserted tho. He is a card, no doubt.

Oh, Russ, that is SOOOOOO "Shopped"! The lighting is *all wrong* on the bird, so it's obviously inserted! Geez, guy! :-) LOL!
Heather, I like what you're trying to do with this picture, but I have to confess, that I didn't know they were smoke-stacks just by the photo. Beautiful colours in the sunset, however.

Retain sunset, change power station to fence, wipe out smoke, and add realistic bird for scale. Nobody will ever know.
