Thank you both for your comments.I would have liked to have the water in the center of the picture but unfortunatley i didnt have a tripod i used a wall to rest the camera on and i couldnt move into a better position, at the time i only had 1 lens (this was when i first bought a camera) I'll probably go back and use a wide angle to get all the water and some more of the river, and on a better day It was grey skies at the time.
Nice texture in the falling water. The thing that bothers me most is the white, blown-out triangle at the top right. I'd either not include it or use a polarizer or red filter to tone it down (I am assuming it was a blue sky. It could be cloudy here but I couln't tell.). I wonder if you could get a bit more of a reflection off the flat surface of the water.
I like the water very much, is very silky. Personally I would like to see the water closer to the center of the picture, since there is no other focal point.
I think this composition would be perfect if the water was centered or if there was another subject in the distance (a tree with character, childeren playing, a leaf falling, etc.. ) just my opinion though. Aaron
