About This was taken shortly after a fire was put out. It was neat looking down at the firemen. Please add comments - it's appreciated - good or bad!

Great shot Kelly! I love how the green and red stands out so well. The composition is really good too. I like how the foreground is really dark too as it keeps your imagination working. Well done!
Cheers

Very photojournalistic, it tells the whole story. Wish foreground more exposed and background less, but how? Maybe adjust and save twice, once for each light condition and then put the foreground from one and the background from the other into a third, final image. A interesting project. In any case nice shot, hope it wasn't your place and if it was glad you saved your camera.

Kelly

What a great shot! Everything is told in the photo and then you capture the casualness of the firemen as they cluster in discussions. I disagree about the overexposure of the outside view, I think it gives depth as well as a stark reality.

And someone asked how you managed to get inside. My guess is that either it was your house or you are on the FD. I hope it is the latter.

Thanks so much for your comments on my "wheels" exhibition. Glad you liked it.

Great capture, just slightly after the 'decisive moment' lol. Kidding aside, I think what makes this so good is that you are looking out at the firemen. We have all seen shots of firemen in front of a building but it's really cool to have the view from inside the building. Very different.

How did you manage to get them to let you inside? I have always found them reluctant to even let me in the yard.

Interesting composition! Nice piece of photojournalism. You might have considered cropping in a bit from one side or the other to take the view off dead center. Still, very nice image!

As Daniel Alvarez said, it tells the story. I would have cropped a little on the right and left side, but it's my opinion.
Welcome to Usefilm!

Kelly, the composition is interesting, I think the background is a little overexposed, but the photo tells the story ... good work.
