Beautifully done Louise . . . I can't believe this hasn't been granted an award . . . and 17 Favorites has to be a good - perhaps better - alternative anyway. Awesome! :)

Hi Louise I am absolutely thrilled that you noticed one of my images and commented on it - thank you :-) and this was happening while I was drooling over the images in your portfolio. What coincidence!
It is perfectly clear that you have tremendous talent not only as a photographer, but also to bring out the best in your subjects.
I have no idea how you achieve the perfect skin in your studio portraits - all that I can do is give you a standing applause! It is obvious that you have some very satisfied customers! :-)
It was difficult to chose a single image to leave a comment on ... but this one kept on drawing me back.
Congratulations!
Linn

Excellent Louise! Best success with children - let them do their own thing. But although that's a big part of this photo, is the hand-crafting on the other end that makes this a winner!
Very Nice!

I think it?s a good thing that you gave up the hope of getting the two childrens attention, the picture is much better this way, it would have been too flat if they were looking straight into the camera, the sepia toning really gives this portrait a great look. Keep up the good work and post more pictures like this one.
Best regards from sweden

Well I think it's a more engaging photo with them NOT looking at the camera. Seems the average subject gets that look when they notice they're on candid camera even if it isn't so candid. The color effects are splendid on this which is pretty much standard for your stuff. I think the rest of us have come to expect that from you. (feeling the pressure now??? ;-) You could probably take off half of the left side and not miss it but it's not bad the way it is either so...take your pick as they both would work just as well as I see it.
Nice to see you "out and about" again. Get a break from your bizzy schedule?

Thanks for all the nice comments. The toning was quite simple actually. First I created a duplicate layer of the original colour image. I have a sepia action which basically was created by using image/adjust/hue-saturation and colourized it to get that sepia tone. I toned the top layer and then created a layer mask to 'colour thru the clothing. I desaturated the original to mute the colours. The hair I just picked a blonde tone and coloured over. That's it!
